Not super pleased with the bait and switch we received here. My husband needed his transmission fluid flushed. We got a quote for $395 from the Honda dealership, which we felt was expensive. He called here and they said they could save him $50-$85 so he scheduled the appointment. After his car had been sitting there all day, they called to say that because his truck was AWD they had to use special Honda transmission fluid and it would be over $400. My husband told them to stop and he’d come get the truck because the dealership was cheaper than that. They did say they would match the dealership price so we let them proceed, but the whole reason we brought the truck here was because it would be supposedly cheaper than the dealership price to begin with. Appreciate the transmission fluid flush, but we will just go the dealer next time. **Edit** After publishing my review, the AAMCO representatives contacted my husband and said they reviewed their phone calls with him and should have honored the price we were originally quoted for a transmission fluid flush. They have refunded the difference back to us. We appreciate their efforts to make it right.
I took my Nissan to the Nissan place in Rome to get my transmission replace. I had a life time warranty and Nissan refused to pay anything on it and said my warranty was in void. AAMCO said to bring my car and see what they can do. They were able to get Nissan to pay 85% !!! I highly recommend!!!
Came for an issue with gear slipping and the Phil and David were both very nice and informative. Gave me a free diagnostic and let me know what the next steps will be. Very friendly and not pushy at all. Really appreciate that...now to make a decision!
The service provided was great. I had a complete rebuild of the transmission on my 2019 Silverado. Phil would call me every step of the way and explain what they were doing. When it was finished, my truck ran better than when I bought it 8 months earlier. I highly recommend this shop for your transmission repairs.
